An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hull Safeguarding Adults Team. We are looking for a motivated, experienced and skilled profession to join our busy safeguarding team with city-wide responsibilities. The team forms part of the multi-agency safeguarding hub based at Kenworthy House.

The post holder will undertake statutory safeguarding duties including leading on enquiries into safeguarding concerns, working in partnership with other organisations, court appearances, and offering safeguarding advice, support, and guidance to a wide range of professionals, providers and the general public. The successful candidate will also work as part of a duty system, and be expected to convene, lead and participate in strategy meetings. Good communication and organisational skills are a must with the need to complete comprehensive Section 42 enquiries and clear safeguarding plans. The post holder will be dedicated to ensuring the making safeguarding personal principles are fully embedded in their everyday practice. The successful applicant will also offer supervision, support, and guidance to unqualified members of the Safeguarding Team.

What we are looking for from you:

This is an opportunity for a person-centred, motivated and enthusiastic candidate with a clear interest and passion for Safeguarding. You will need to be a Registered Professional (eg Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist) with extensive experience of working in the field of health or social care, preferably having worked with people with a range of presenting needs and having worked in multi-disciplinary settings. You will have good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and be able to use this knowledge to inform your good practice. You will be a supportive and excellent team player who is able to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
