Removals Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Removals Operations Manager to work for our established Removals client, offering packing, removals and storage services in Edinburgh.

As Removals Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the drivers and porters, managing each team/crew and their vehicles on a day-to-day basis. Manage the operations department in the efficient operation of vehicles, team/crew and liaising with each individual customer for their individual requirements keeping team leaders (senior foreman) up-to date.

Removals Operations Manager duties include:

To manage the operations department in the efficient operation of the company's vehicles and drivers and porters as well as liaising directly with individual customers.

Manage and work with the store man and his daily tasks delegating his daily duties.

Manage the allocation of vehicles and crews to individual customer's removals.

Manage the removal diary on a day-to-day basis ensuring manpower and vehicle is sufficient for each customer's job.

Liaise directly with each customer once confirmed removal into the removal diary.

Liaise with parking suspension at the council ensuring smooth transition of each unloading and loading of job within the diary on a daily/weekly basis.

Liaise with garage for maintenance and MOT/Servicing schedule throughout the year.

Liaise with temporary staff when required to ensure sufficient manpower.

Manage the daily accounts for customers for their individual move.

Manage the operational paperwork for all storage jobs and direct removal jobs for all crews, etc.

General administration duties to be carried out on a day to day as required.

The Removals Operations Manager will have proven experience working in a managerial role within the Removals & Relocations industry. You must be a confident communicator and competent at problem solving.

We are keen to speak to experienced professionals who have leadership skills and good knowledge of removals processes, fleet maintenance and transportation regulations.

In return, the successful Removals Operations Manager will be offered up to £38,000 in line with experience.
