As a Critical Care Nurse , you will be integral to supporting the journey ofa patient as they recover, at a crucial time for patients and their families; aposition which is both exceptionally rewarding and humbling.

Main duties of the job

What youll beresponsible for:

You will treat patients withcritical illnesses from all specialties, medical and surgical, as well asgiving post-operative support for planned, major surgery. This care willinclude:

Assessing and monitoring patient conditions

Checking symptoms and vital signs and arrangingdiagnostic tests

Recognising, responding to, and managing emergencysituations

Planning, delivering and evaluating standards ofevidence-based nursing care

The role will involve, butnot be limited to you performing the above.

    What you'll need

  • A minimum of 6months paid experience in a Critical Care nursing environment within a hospitalin the last 3 years
  • Comply with NMCProfessional Registration and keep up to date with current nursingpractices
  • The ability toensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMCguidelines
  • Be committed toundertaking regular mandatory training
  • *Depending onthe Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
