The vacancy is for a full time position - 37 hours per week, term time only.

We are seeking to appoint a Ready to Learn Manager to contribute to the strategic leadership of the academy, ensuring effective Ready to Learn systems and procedures are consistently implemented. You will lead and support with behaviour management across the academy.

The post holder, working under an agreed system of supervision and guidance, will take a lead role within school to address the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. The post will also include assisting in developing appropriate and relevant mentoring programmes for students who are at risk of suspension or permanent exclusion and providing support in addressing the needs of students. The postholder will support behaviour, expectations and alternative provision across the Academy.

The post is suitable for both new entrants to the profession and applicants with experience.

What is important to us is that we appoint someone who is totally committed to the post and can demonstrate the ability to coordinate, manage and provide support for students experiencing barriers to learning. We need someone who will work effectively and enthusiastically with SLT, DSL, SENDCO and other colleagues to promote best practice in behaviour management and in order to provide highly effective learning and teaching the Academy.

In return, we can offer a positive and supportive working environment focused on student progress and achievement with a relentless focus on going ‘Beyond Expectations’.

The Axholme Academy is an ambitious, forward thinking and friendly Academy serving the market town of Crowle and surrounding villages. We are increasingly becoming the first choice school for parents in the local area, not just those in our traditional catchment area of the market town of Crowle and surrounding villages but also those traditionally catered for by different local authorities. This has led to us increasing the number of students on roll year on year which in turn has enabled us to increase the number of staff that we employ thereby further improving the quality of our provision. As such the Academy is now oversubscribed in the majority of year groups.

In March 2023 Ofsted confirmed that The Axholme Academy continues to provide a good education for students. Please find the report attached .

The Academy is a founder member of The Northern Lincolnshire Education Consortium Ltd.
