A main build and civils contractor based in County Tyrone are looking for an experienced and qualified quantity surveyor to join our team and work on various building projects in Northern Ireland/Ireland. A well-established and highly regarded contractor, they are undertaking a number of exciting projects across the UK and Ireland, currently operating with a turnover of £40m. This contractor operates within the educational, residential,munity and industrial sectors as well as water infrastructure, reservoirs and wastewater treatment works. Due to continued growth they wish to invest in an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who is eager to join an established main contractor.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for managing the costs and contracts of the projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will prepare budgets and cost plans as well as assisting in the delivery and management of a variety of projects and providing regular updates on the performance of on-going projects. You will report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and work closely with the Operational Team.
What you will need to succeed
You will hold a third level qualification, and will have a minimum of two year experience in a Quantity Surveying Role, ideally with a main contractor. Demonstrable experience of assisting in the pricing a construction projects and a working knowledge of forms of contract such as JCT will be a necessity. You will have a high level ofputer literacy, and will have experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite. Additionally you must demonstrate the ability to read and accurately interpret drawing and technical specification. As a person you will be well organised with goodmunication, negotiation and analytical skills
