Responsibilities
For This Role
Developing tools to extract valuable data and information from insurance and financial market databases via API access
Developing models to analyse strategic asset allocation for insurers in order to optimise their Return on Capital
Enhancing existing reporting capabilities to effectivelymunicate analysis and findings through a user-friendly interface and data visualization platform, such as Power BI, catering to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Gradually bing the team's expert user of the Ortec analytic solution software.
Working closely with insurance sales team to address client requests
Collaborating with the in-house Investment Analytics developer team to implement model prototypes into larger scale model development, if necessary.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Analytical mindset and a desire to learn
Effectivemunication skills
Strong experience in Python is mandatory
Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlines
Quick learner and capable of working on a wide variety of projects
Familiarity with financial asset modelling is preferred but not essential
A keen interest in learning about Insurance investment
Great opportunity for someone interested in moving into the Asset Management industry
Candidates advancing to the later stages of the interview process should be prepared toplete a live Python coding exercise, either in person or through a shared-screen session.
Work Level: Experienced, 2-4 years of industry experience
