QSW – Childrens – Social Worker – Child ProtectionAs a Social Worker in the Child Protection and Court Proceedings (CP) Team, your role involves working directly with children and young people at risk of significant harm. You ensure their wishes are heard, collaborate with law enforcement, and maintain accurate records. The CP team emphasises learning, development, and regular supervision, offering opportunities for training activitiesKey Responsibilities
Case Management:
  • Provide preventive services for families and individual children.
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement in child abuse and neglect cases.
  • Make home visits to assess service needs.
  • Maintain accurate client records.
  • Handle childcare placements and visits.
  • Intake/Investigations:
  • Interview prospective clients during intake.
  • Investigateplaints of abuse and neglect, working closely with law enforcement.
  • Court Proceedings:
  • Consult with professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, attorneys) related to case objectives.
  • Prepare necessary documents (social histories, investigative findings, rmendations) within mandated timelines.
  • Attend and testify in court proceedings.
  • Implement court orders.
  • Other Duties:
  • Provide feedback for program improvement.
  • Supervise social work interns and paraprofessional staff.
  • Share information about social service programs with themunity.
  • Attend meetings and participate in training activities
  • You must have a full valid full UK drivers’ licence and daily access to a car.Benefits:
