Purchasing Manager
Salary:£40000 to £47000 per annum (Depending onexperience key staff bonus)
Normal Workinghours: 37hrs / week
Mon – Thu 08:0016.30 (halfhour lunch)
Fri – 08:0013:00 (nolunch)
• Holiday 5 weeks bankholidays long service extra days

JobRole:
You will be part of the Senior Leadership Teamreporting to the Managing Director.
You will beresponsible for the buying team Stores and Dispatch (currently 14members).
You and your team will be responsible fordaytoday activities. These include reviewing forecast levels ofdemand for components managing stock levels to agreed targetssupporting sales activities with material quotations placing ordersas needed; checking and approving supplier invoices and overseeingsupplier rejects and consigned stock.
Demand and supplyare detailed in our computer stock system (QL) and accurate recordkeeping is required. You will have exceptional attention to detailand high levels of accuracy in your work as well as an analyticalapproach to problem solving. You should have strong leadershipcapabilities and have good knowledge of supply chain management.You should be able to identify opportunities for improvement tocontribute to the overall success of our purchasing operations.Previous manufacturing or electronics supply chain experience ispreferable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
• Develop future strategicpurchasing objectives.
• Monitor forecast priceand lead time trends and their impact on futureactivities.
• Ensure our suppliers are aware ofour business objectives.
• Negotiate and agreecontracts with suppliers.
• Monitor the qualityof service provided by suppliers and subcontractors.
• You will build and maintain supplierrelationships.
• Investigate inventory andsupply errors in conjunction with Stores to help prevent futureerrors.
• Track metrics to help us achieve ourKPI goals.
• Set up buffer stocks and contractswith Suppliers.
• Manage train and motivateyour team.
