About the Team:

The post holder will be based in the Public Health Team - which has over people from a variety of disciplines. The post holder will work closely with the Emotional Health and Wellbeing, PSHE and Healthy Schools Co-ordinator as well as the Consultant for Public Health leading on Children and Young People. The post holder will also work closely with the Children’s Commissioning Team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting public health role which will take an active part in promoting better health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities amongst children and young people in the London borough of Lambeth. 

Working with schools to support the embedding of a whole school approach to health and wellbeing, and the delivery of good quality personal, social and health education (PSHE) will be a key part of the role. The post holder will also support schools to achieve Healthy Schools London accreditation and will work together with strategic and policy leads within the Council as well as external partners to improve the long-term health outcomes of children and families.

The post holder will have experience of working in public health, health promotion, education or similar setting and knowledge of the PSHE curriculum and emotional resilience agendas will be beneficial. 

The post will provide opportunities to develop you career aspirations in a supportive environment. The role is offered as a fixed term post post for years.
