Job Details

Are you looking to go into a career in Education/Child psychology or speech and language therapy, but need to gain crucial experience beforehand?

Have you considered using your psychology degree to gain classroom-based experience working with SEN students?

Do you have a genuine passion for special educational needs and perhaps the drive to become a SEN teacher?

A Special school (SEN) in Islington, which caters for pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism (ASD) is looking for Teaching Assistants for long-term roles and daily supply to start in September 2024 and if you are a Psychology Graduate that would be highly desired by the school!
Pupils are aged 4-11 years old and there is a high proportion of autistic children attending the school so a good knowledge and understanding of autism is essential for the role. Also, being able to work with challenging behaviour would be beneficial.

The role will involve working with students on a 1-1 or group basis and you will work alongside dedicated professionals, as well as have the opportunity to shadow Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language therapists.

The school is in Islington, which is central London and has very good transport links and routes. The Head teacher wants enthusiastic, passionate new staff to join their professional and caring team!

Please apply today to be considered!
