Manchester City Council, Trafford Council and the NHS are working in partnership in Manchester and Trafford to design and deliver health and care services that help people lead healthier lives.

Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisations (‘the LCOs’) have been established to bring community health and social care professionals together in the same organisations, working to a shared vision for better health and care services, and better health outcomes for people.

There are a range of transformation programmes and projects within the LCOs focussed on how we can make the most of our shared resources to transform how integrated health and care services are accessed and delivered.

Programme and project management roles play a vital role in delivering transformation in the LCOs. Transformation capacity is located within two teams: the Local Care Organisation’s Project Management Office and the Adults Social Care Transformation Team. Both teams work collaboratively across the LCOs Transformation Portfolio using use a common LCO project methodology and approach to change management.

We are recruiting a Programme Planner , a role critical to ensuring the successful delivery of the LCOs transformation portfolio. The Programme Planner will report to the Head of the PMO and is key to the LCO PMOs ability to support the delivery of business change. Effectively, the role is the 'coordination hub' of the transformation portfolio, providing a portfolio-wide view on interdependencies, benefits, risk, change and quality management by providing support and challenge to programme and project managers and producing regular portfolio status reports for management teams. The Programme Planner will organise and participate in transformation portfolio governance forums, and will co-develop and deploy effective programme and project management tools, helping to ensure business change is well planned and delivered, in line with the LCOs project methodology.
