**TEMP TO PERM AFTER 13 WEEKS** Our client based in Worcester require a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER , within walking distance from the City Centre. Our client is a well established food manufacturer with local roots. This is REGULAR, ON GOING WORK leading to a permanent role following a successful 13 week trial period. The site also benefits from free parking.

**PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING ROLE IS REQUIRED**

Hours of work:

3 week rotational shift pattern Monday to Friday:

  • AM 0600 - 1400
  • PM 1400 - 2200
  • NIGHTS 2200 - 0600
  • Rate of Pay:

    Days:

  • £23.05 per hour up to 40 hours
  • £33.07 per hour after 40 hours
  • £43.09 per hour for Bank Holidays
  • Nights:

  • £24.69 per hour up to 40 hours
  • £34.71 per hour after 40 hours
  • £44.73 per hour for Bank Holidays
  • Duties will include:

  • Work on a rotating shift pattern to provide engineering breakdown support for the Site, execute changeovers and continuous improvement activities.
  • Diagnose and overcome operational problems, working with the production team to identify root cause of problems and then suggest and implement improvements to address reliability.
  • Execute PPM tasks and effectively react to unscheduled maintenance requirements with appropriate corrective action.
  • Plan, schedule and agree daily and weekly workload with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Team Leader.
  • Update the Engineering Team Leader to reorder spare parts used to ensure stick levels are maintenance and to control spares in an efficient manner.
  • Actively look for areas of improvement and put forward ideas to improve PPM’s, Store Management, Maintenance Day activities and alternative efficient equipment / processes.
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are always adhered to, and quality, safety, performance, and attendance standards are maintained.
  • Support the technical upskilling programme of the Production Operators (changeovers, shut down and CIP procedures.)
  • Understand and operate production equipment and CIP procedures to provide operator cover to an absolute minimum.
  • Takes responsibility for safe operation, fault finding and maintenance of all machinery, as well as own personal safety, and the safety of colleagues.
  • Has effective communication with all employee’s ensuring information is communicated effectively and concisely presenting recommendations, plans and decisions in a clear and logical manner.
  • Utilises the allotted time to carry out detailed handovers, ensuring all relevant information is requested and given.
  • Any other reasonable requests made by the Maintenance Manager or Site Leadership Team.
  • Experience and competencies required:

  • Multi-skilled with strong mechanical knowledge and competent electrical knowledge.
  • Experience of fault finding within electrical systems with PLC appreciation.
  • Experience of predictive / preventative maintenance techniques and routines.
  • A team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Systems and Procedures.
