To make, document, and send product samples to customers in accordance with internal PD procedures / customer codes of practice. 

Support the PD manager in preparing and presenting samples to internal and external customers.

To always ensure the smooth running of PD areas, maintaining a high level of GMP and hygienic practice.

Principal Accountabilities:

To make kitchen samples in accordance with the PD procedure.

Ensure kitchen products are made / assessed in accordance with customer codes of practice.

To ensure all samples from kitchen and relevant trials are sent for internal and external signoff in an organised and timely manner.

Maintain paperwork / IT system to provide documented trail of PD work undertaken.

Support meetings regarding PD projects / feasibility and challenges with relevant site / business functions.

Collaborate with Procurement to arrange and deliver raw materials and ingredients requirements to site.

Assist in other PD activities where required, such as presentation to customers alongside PD manager.

Assist in production trials, when necessary, particularly new product designs and concepts.

Role Requirements
 Qualifications, Background and Experience:

Degree in Food Science or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience > 1 years of product development from concept to manufacture withing a food / drink manufacturing environment.

A passion for food and drink, trends, and consumer direction. 

Proven people management skills and experience as a people manager.

Good interpersonal skills and skilled in making presentations.

Computer literate with competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Full UK driving license essential
