Process Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our team and provide essential engineering support to our production processes. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring high-quality production, reviewing and advising on production methods, driving continuous improvement, and reducing scrap and waste. Working closely with the Head of Engineering, you will play a key role in optimising our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, addressing programming, and both internal and external production issues. This includes ordering tooling and consumables.
  • Deliver technical support to quality control by developing Quality Plans/Control Plans and addressing internal and external non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Implement CAD CAM in the CNC Turning area for enhanced efficiency.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve production and quality issues.
  • Stay up to date with current projects and their status.
  • Continuously improve our production processes, identifying and implementing enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist with machine purchase specifications, maintenance plans, and repairs.
  • Aid in machine layout and movement projects.
  • Contribute to site services and maintenance activities.
  • Provide hands-on practical engineering support.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard customer proprietary information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Remain conscious of quality requirements and adhere to them consistently.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols for both personal activities and those of others.
  • Follow procedures for the proper use and care of equipment, systems, and materials.

Desired Professional Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of experience in a metal-cutting manufacturing company.
  • Proven experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the Racing Industry or Aerospace sector.
  • Proficiency in reading manufacturing drawings.
  • Sound knowledge of CNC Turning and experience with CAD CAM.
  • Experience with Lean Enterprise practices, including Kaizen and 5S methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and basic product liability concepts.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods such as distribution and process capability.
  • Additional language proficiency, especially German, would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical or complex documents. Capable of taking corrective action as necessary and provide information in an understandable manner.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong team player with a "Can Do" attitude.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the automotive racing industry, competitors, products, and developments.
