Job: Principal Engineer - Shock and Dynamics

Location: Filton, Frimley, or Weymouth

Salary: £58,000

IO Associates is looking for a Principal Engineer for decomposing dreadnought Whole Boat Shock and EGV requirements for major systems engineers and designers, also generate derived requirements for technical specifications and reviewing supplier compliance.

Responsibilities :

Working with Combat Systems engineering teams and reviewing their documentation.

Reviewing and approving supplier test plans and qualification evidence.

Presenting Shock and EGV qualification evidence to the customer.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Expertise in structural engineering and analysis techniques, including manual stress calculations and Finite Element Analysis.

Proficiency with mathematical packages such as Mathcad or Mathematica.

Experience with technical requirements and acceptance activities in submarine, defence, construction, or ship environments.
