We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Primary Loan Closer.
The Primary Loan Closer provides support for the Loan Syndicate team within LAF (Leveraged and Acquisition Finance) and is responsible for a timely closing of all primary loans trades.
In this role, you will:
• Liaise with Issuer Services Operations and other internal teams (loan syndicate, legal execution, KYC, Agency), as well as external legal counsel and counterparts.
• Manage the full portfolio of primary leveraged loans covering LMA, LSTA, Par trades, ensuring that all documentation satisfies procedural and audit requirements in respect of LSTA and LMA PAR trading
• Liaise with Legal internal/external in executing transfer certificates and pricing letters/funding memos, following the trade life cycle from allocation to settlement
• Collect sub-allocations from all lending fund managers, and ensuring these entities are KYC’d ahead of settlement via Issuer Services or Middle Office as appropriate
• Execute transfer certificates/assignment agreements with investors to settle primary allocations either via ClearPar system or paper documentation
• Be part of the wider Private Credit Operations team, so some Secondary Loan Closing support will also be expected
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
• Previous loan closing experience with a legal understanding of documentation is preferable.
• Knowledge of Clear par, Loan IQ, Debt domain, Excel, and LSTA and LMA documentation
• Pro-active with a problem-solving attitude, you will possess exceptional communication skills to enable you to deal with both internal and external clients, including front office staff, Agency, legal execution.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, to ensure transaction deadlines are achieved.
• Able to deliver high accuracy and volume of work to excellent standards under pressure.
