Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Social Work Practice Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality social work services in Bradford. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance, mentoring, and support to a team of social workers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and professional standards. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of social workers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Monitor and review caseloads, ensuring effective case management and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support the professional development of social workers.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of social work staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and effective multi-disciplinary teamwork.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in the field of social work, and ensure compliance within the team.
  • Provide consultation and support to social workers in complex cases or challenging situations.

  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognized qualification in social work and registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Extensive experience as a qualified social worker, including a track record of successfully managing complex cases.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a social work setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in social work practice.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
