Guidant Global is recruiting on behalf of a highly recognised university for a Post Operative for a 9-Month contract with an immediate start.
In this role, you can expect to:
1. Delivery of stock, consumables, stationery and courier items to designated points of delivery, obtaining signature on delivery where appropriate.
2. Maintain accurate records for all deliveries including courier and stock items.
3. Collect, sort and process all incoming and outgoing post following operating procedures and divisional policies.
4. Ensure that all out-going mail is sent by the correct methods and carrier.
5. Operate fleet vehicles including cargo bikes.
6. Maintain vehicle log-books and daily vehicle checks.
7. Promote excellent customer service Carry out basic logistics stock control admin tasks. Communicate clearly and politely with all staff, students, and academics across the site.
We're looking for candidates who have:
-Relevant experience in a comparable environment - mail room, goods in, storage, dispatch, logistics etc.
-Qualified to drive delivery vehicles.
-Experience driving in central London or a comparable environment.
-Good basic IT literacy and ability to use basic IT systems and other essential equipment necessary for controlling and recording the flow of mail and other items.
-Good communication skills - written and oral with an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff, students and service providers.
-Accuracy and attention to detail.
-Physically able to perform delivery and collection duties requiring handling and carrying mail bags and other bulky items.
-Ability to work effectively unsupervised using own initiative and to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
-A good team player.
