Pontypool Community Council has a vacancy for a PROJECT OFFICER
To plan, organise and deliver all projects of the Council in liaison with the Projects and Events Manager in accordance with agreed governance arrangements and produce reports on these for the relevant Committee(s).
To support the Projects and Events Manager with the administration of all Council projects and events.
To develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders to support the delivery of Council projects and events.
To attend meetings which may be outside of your normal hours and take minutes when required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the Projects and Events Manager with the administration of all Council projects and events.
To develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders to support the delivery of Council projects and events.
To attend meetings which may be outside of your normal hours and take minutes when required.
To cover reception as and when necessary, in the absence of the Admin Officer.
To support other staff and carry out all other reasonable duties as required by the Clerk.
To assist with the content and development of the Council’s website and social media pages
To be responsible for own health and safety and promote compliance by others to ensure a safe working environment.
To assist in preparing and collating information for the Annual report.
To undertake training and/or attend relevant courses deemed necessary and appropriate.Qualifications / Experience:
Skills and Abilities:
The ability to work as part of a team, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meet the objectives of the team
To hold a relevant Health and Safety Level 2 (or willingness to work towards).
An excellent standard of written English, numeracy and IT skills
To communicate well in a manner appropriate to individual needs, in person, by phone or in writing
