What you will do
Joining on a 15 month fixed term contract , Your new role is based within the Finance team of the Shared Services Centre and reports into the VP, Financial Reporting. You will work on general accounting on a day to day or project basis , IFRS consolidation, US GAAP reporting and Financial Reporting for the legal entities in scope.
Updating, reviewing and reconciling the general ledger and review and analysis thereof falls under your remit. You will also have responsibilities around review and timely preparation of board reporting, ensuring that the data isplete, accurate and clear for the readers of the reports. The role holder will be the primary point of contact for accounting systems' development and should have excellent Oracle experience. You will collaborate on the development of accounting policy, procedures and guidance and ensure the control framework is maintained.
This position requires a professional accounting qualification with significant post qualified experience. The role holder will have experience in a large accounting firm orparative accounting environment and an excellent working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Statutory Accounts reporting. You will be based in the London office on a hybrid basis.

What you can expect
  • Prepare and/or validate the journal entries and produce and/or review lead schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis withmentaries on the variances for inclusion in the quarterly board reports
  • Production and review of GAAPpliant financial statements and coordination of the annual statutory audit process for multiple corporate entities in various jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity and appropriateness of internal controls over the establishment's accounting and financial actions.
  • Oversight of the timely production of intepany and third party invoicing, liaising with the tax department to ensure appropriate VAT treatment.
  • Acts as subject matter expert for technical accounting queries.
  • Oversight of Treasury Management, including liquidity management.
  • To identify and implement systems and technology enhancements.
  • Management of a team of 5 direct reports
  • What you will bring
  • Degree education and Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA), with 7+ years post qualified experience.
  • IFRS Reporting - Significant experience of reporting under IFRS, including knowledge of IFRS16, IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 and consolidated accounts.
  • US GAAP Reporting - Experience of reporting under US GAAP and knowledge of the differences between US and IFRS GAAP.
  • Significant experience of preparing Financial Statements under IFRS, FRS101 & FRS 102 , including interpretation and implementation of new standards and consolidation of accounts.
  • Significant experience of implementing and maintaining a control framework, including documentation of controls andpiling RCSAs as needed.
  • Experience of coordinating multiple external and internal audits, including audit planning, interim and final audit participation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the timely and successfulpletion of the audits.
  • Experience of VAT, CT accounting to ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly.
  • Experience of interpretation and implementation of Transfer Pricing agreements to ensure correct treatment of revenue and expenses.
  • Oversight of bank account reconciliations, cash forecasting and FX management.
  • Significant experience of driving efficiencies through process improvements and automation where possible.
