The team

The ITV Pensions team in Preston is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ITV Pension Scheme for its members. The team uses their expertise to administer and monitor all aspects of the Scheme. The team also work with the Trustees of the ITV DC Plan to understand and meet their requirements whilst working in partnership with the DC Plan administration provider to deliver a quality and efficient service to members.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Pensions Project Manager, within our busy Pensions Department, to support the day-to-day delivery of many pension related projects & activities, across our admin, payroll and finance departments. You’ll be a key member of the project team, working with the Head of Pensions Systems and Project Management and departmental teams, in all aspects of pensions related project work.

The role...

This position will manage and deliver a number of pensions related projects which will either be for the ITV Pension Scheme or DC Plan (the “Schemes”). You will ensure that projects are delivered on time and in line with budgets whilst meeting the requirements as set out in the project scope. You will manage conflicting priorities and ensure project activities are tracked and completed in alignment with the project plan. You will produce regular project reporting and manage key stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects are completed in an efficient, cost effective manner and that agreed targets are reached.
  • To provide project management support and advice to other teams in the department and wider ITV teams.
  • You will manage project plans, strategy and oversee work completed by project team members.
  • You will review plans, proposals and communications from a project perspective and sign off risk events, communications and procedural amendments.
  • You will lead high level project meetings and committee meetings as required, ensuring accurate notes and action logs are produced.
  • You will research issues at a high level and analyse the impact to design appropriate implementation processes, along with specifying, monitoring and analysing the management information required. You will identify related training needs and work with senior managers to develop the relevant procedure manuals.
  • Ensure project budgets are clearly defined against supplier scopes and budgets are monitored throughout the project’s life. 
  • Manage workloads in order to meet deadlines and undertake multiple projects at one time using effective task management and prioritisation techniques.
  • Confident in Change Management processes and presenting progress reports to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain process diagrams and documentation detailing business critical processes and procedures.
  • Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Pensions experience is required
  • Minimum two years experience as a Project Manager and previous experience in a Project Support role.
  • Experience of working within complex projects at all levels and able to demonstrate application of Prince methodology
  • Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Experience of system implementations and creating calculation specifications
  • Experienced in working as part of a project team, delivering initiatives and following key project concepts.
  • A working knowledge of understanding systems, system issues and a proven track record of delivery solutions.
  • Experience of working with 3rd parties, especially consultants.
  • Be able to demonstrate advanced skills on Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to manipulate data for analysis/reporting.
  • Experience of data mapping and data migration.
  • Experienced in producing complex and detailed project plans using Microsoft Project
  • Experience of presenting and producing presentation material.
