We are looking for a Payroll Transition Manager to join our growing team at Cygnet Nepicar House in Kent.
Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.
Your day to day duties include:
Support the end to end payroll cycle for the business, including delegation on processing where required to support the team leads- senior administrator
Provide review of regular Payroll main runs, supplementary payments and BACs files to ensure accuracy and completeness after payroll leads have checked
Authorise manual payments and send to treasury, manual payments spreadsheet to be populated by admins, checked by payroll leads and authorised by payroll manager
Shares processed by payroll lead, checked by payroll manager
Responsible for system wide calculations within the pay cycle and checking of internal change management for transfers between payroll companies
To manage payroll leads on closure of each pay run, providing pay and pension reports to the appropriate teams and external stakeholders
Monitor the number and scope of requests raised within the Payroll Portal, direct resource where required and resolve breaches or escalations
Ensure Amazon Connect phone system is adequately and competently resourced (A report is run every morning and cascaded to Supervisor’s) KPI’s to be completed monthly, resourcing levels reviewed and communicated to payroll team.
Recovery of identified overpayments (log of overpayments, 1st letter goes out and then follow up) overpayments updated for each instance and reviewed monthly as part of KPI’s.
Review complaints spreadsheet and follow up as needed, ensuring payroll leads are updating the complaints spreadsheet
KPI’s Monthly payroll, supplementary runs and manual payments, Amazon connect and complaints.
Deputise for Head of payroll as required
HMRC reconciled to payroll on a monthly basis
Third party payments completed before statutory pay date
Payroll calendar planner is updated daily and monitored by payroll manager
Payroll comparisons are completed day before BACS day and confirmed by payroll manager
BACS day mid-day deadlines are monitored
Payroll calendar updated in line with processing, completion and BACS day deadlines
Liaising with the wider Business on upcoming changes and month ahead reviews
Control accounts/management reviews are monitored by payroll manager
Quarterly updates with audit
You must have:
Strong payroll and people management skills
Experience of at least one payroll system transition
Multiple monthly PAYE payrolls with over 5000 employees
Change management experience
