Job Description
Accurately processing payroll for employees
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and reporting requirements
Collaborating with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth operation
Maintaining confidentiality and security of employee information
Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title or department/division transfers
Re-checking payroll calculations manually
Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
A solid understanding of payroll and experience checking calculations manually
Proficiency in payroll software
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
The ability to handle confidential information
Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external bodies
