The Opportunity

Oasys is the software house of Arup. It is the brand through which Arup sells market leading technical software. To support the growth of our Oasys business we are looking to expand our global partnerships team. 

This role will provide support to the global partnerships director for a suite of pre and post-processing software designed specially to work with LS-DYNA.

We have been using LS-DYNA for our consultancy work for over 30 years. Our in-depth knowledge of this powerful analysis solver has enabled us to create the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment - tailored tools written exclusively for LS-DYNA that give users the power to prepare models, interpret results and share solutions. The Oasys LS-DYNA Environment is used by the majority of automotive OEMs worldwide and across many other industries, including defense, nuclear and civil engineering. We are committed to providing our clients with the best possible service through our product development, sales & marketing activities, customer events, conferences and training courses.

The Partnerships Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in driving strategic partnerships. Reporting directly to the Partnerships Director, this position involves collaborating with external partners, managing existing relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. 

A key part of the role is to support relationships through managing communication channels with our software distributors and Ansys, the owner of LS-DYNA. They will also liaise closely with our product marketeers, product managers, regional leaders (in the UK, India, China and US), content managers, operations, sales, marketing and technical support teams as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Developing and implementing partnership strategies 
  • Managing existing partnerships – not only our key clients and distributors but other collaborators at all levels 
  • Identifying new business opportunities 
  • Analyse market trends and identify areas for expansion 
  • Propose innovative strategies to enhance collaboration and increase revenue 
  • Stakeholder management

    We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or project management and an appreciation/ interest/ understanding of the software industry 
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying growth opportunities 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills 
  • An active listener who is able to understand opportunities/ requirements
  • Able to build trust, influence and minimise conflict to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Familiarity with partnership contracts
