To competently drive the wheelchair accessible vehicles, transporting individuals in our care safely and efficiently
To communicate with passengers professionally and sensitively, empathising with those who are in difficult situations
To assist passengers in entering and leaving the vehicles safely
To be the driver for local and day trips and assist colleagues/individuals in our care where necessary
To undertake tasks within the unit as delegated by the unit manager

You are...
Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence - Class D1 Licence essential
Previous experience of transporting passengers
Previous experience within a Community Transport service
Previous experience in driving a minibus
Previous experience of working in a health care environment
Physically able to assist in the transfer of individuals in our care to and from the vehicles (with aids if required) and clamp the wheelchairs into place
Ability to work as part of a team
Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
