PARKING MANAGER

We are looking to recruit a Parking Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team involved in discharging the City Council’s functions and commitments in relation to managing the Highway Network.

You will manage the parking service in this exciting role within the council’s transport team, you will embed a strategic and evidence based approached to delivery and operational matters, ensuring that the council continues to provide a high quality and critical service. 

Leading a team whilst working closely with colleagues, councillors, and key stakeholders to shape the city’s parking operations and deliver against the transport strategy and wider corporate objectives.

The post holder will have operational responsibility for functions within the parking team to ensure competent and confident/leadership This includes:

Championing and direct staff to engage and implement appropriate values, vision, strategy and appropriate health and safety guidance to support officers in discharging their duties with the City and achieve the statutory requirements.

Provides strong oversight of performance. Identifies actions for continuous improvement including identification of gaps in knowledge, skills and provision to ensure the team has a plan for managing team/service strengths and weaknesses.

Conduct effective partnership working with the Strategic Development Manager to jointly deliver parking provision within the City taking into account the various documents, policies and strategies being employed by the Authority.
