RMS Recruitment is seeking a Paint Sprayer to join our client's outstanding manufacturing team based in Thornaby. This is the perfect role for someone with experience in Spray Painting.
Job Details:
- Location: Thornaby
- Position: Paint Sprayer
- Type: Temporary to Permanent Position
- Shift: 7am – 5pm Monday to Thursday
- Salary: £12.97 per hour
About the Role:
As a Paint Sprayer you will be responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing paint or coating on surfaces of products, equipment, or structures. The individual must ensure a high-quality finish, adhere to safety standards, and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the spray equipment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To work in the finishing section of the main factory, spray painting undercoats and topcoats using airless air assisted spray-painting equipment.
- Using various spraying techniques to achieve a smooth professional finish.
- Spraying lighting columns and accessories (pipes).
- Working with two pack and single coat systems.
About You:
- Previous knowledge/skills in spray painting techniques in a paint shop.
- Previous spray-painting experience with certified background advantageous.
- Ability to identify quality issues with final coatings, (drips, runs, blistering).
- Familiar with good health and safety practices using air fed equipment in a paint shop.
- Overhead crane experience is an advantage as will be required to move product.
