In this role, you will be required to take attendance in the mornings, and liaise with parents over absences. You will then need to go and do some support work in the community. You will need to be comfortable liaising with social services and other parties to best support the young people.

You should be confident in behaviour management techniques and deescalation strategies in order to manage the young peoples behaviour and help them to engage with the curriculum.

All the young people that you will be working with will have an education and health care plan (EHCP) which you will be able to refer to.
