I am working in partnership with an established company who are the leading eye and hearing care provider. With a team of over 500 dedicated health care professionals, conducting well over 200,000 home clinics each year.

You will support the Regional Managers in developing field-based teams, enhancing their clinical and commercial performance to deliver excellence in domiciliary care. You will:
  • Lead and develop regional teams.
  • Work on national projects supporting optical field teams.
  • Analyze performance data and implement improvement plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This role requires a deep understanding of optometry practices, exceptional feedback and coaching skills, and a commitment to elevating eye care standards. You will serve as a role model, positively influencing your regional and national team.

Principal Accountabilities
Coaching and Development
  • Provide hands-on coaching and development, both in person and virtually, to field-based teams, focusing on clinical and commercial performance, leading to continuous enhancement of customer experience.
  • Build professional, respectful, and supportive relationships with field-based teams, prioritizing customers and colleagues.
  • Drive performance by providing key feedback, demonstrating best practices, and creating personalized development plans.
  • Help Optometrists and Dispensers maximize opportunities for customers through Accessories, Magnifiers, and our care plans.
  • Advocate for our hearing services, coaching colleagues to recognize and act on opportunities.
  • Deliver training within the region as required.
  • Support newly onboarded Optometrists and Dispensers through probation.
Leadership
  • Support Regional Managers in regular review meetings to lead the team in exceeding key success measures—Customer Satisfaction, Commercial KPI Performance, Employee Engagement, and Retention.
  • Assist in day-to-day team management, deputizing for Regional Managers as needed.
  • Build strong relationships within the Regional Team, with other Regional Support Managers, Optical Development Leads, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in specific projects to drive a high-performing culture.
  • Represent the Company at local or national events when required.
Data Analysis
  • Analyze performance data, identify root causes for performance changes, and work with Regional Managers to implement improvements.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities based on data-driven insights.
  • Address trends and themes at a group level, sharing with Optical Development Leads to support field-based teams.
About You
  • Competent in all areas of customer care, particularly dispensing and aftercare.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain influential relationships.
  • Experience in the optical industry with knowledge of clinical and dispensing best practices.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate feedback into clear, actionable changes.
  • Self-starter, driven to achieve goals, capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, managing workload and diary to exceed company goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills across various channels.
  • Proficient in data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and improvement areas.
