What you'll be doing;
- Report directly to the Working supervisor on all aspects of site operations, compliance and efficiency at the largest wastewater plant in Scotland
- Optimisation and troubleshooting of all processes and assets and assisting the wider team in resolving plant issues
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operations
- Work with external contractors and provide onsite support for completion of maintenance activities
- Provide support/feedback to senior members of the maintenance and operations teams
- Carry out site sampling and analysis
- Develop knowledge on the Seafield Sludge Treatment Centre Operation (Dewatering, Anaerobic Digestion, Gas Production, CHP Operation and Maintenance and Thermal Hydrolysis Process).
- Develop knowledge on the Seafield Wastewater Treatment Works Operation (Preliminary Treatment, Primary Treatment, Biological Treatment).
What we're looking for;
- Team player and respectful to all those they work with and the surrounding community
- Customer focused in order to ensure good relations with the local community and stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem solving skills
- Full driving licence required
Training will be provided to upskill those without the experience but the following would be beneficial:
- Skills/Expertise in running and maintaining operational processes and assets (wastewater experience preferred but not essential)
- Practical knowledge of spreadsheet packages, experience of computerised maintenance management package(s)
- Health and Safety awareness/qualifications
- Experience in Permit to Work systems
- Familiar with Risk Assessments
