As our business sets up for further growth, we are putting together a new Metering Asset Provider (MAP) team to help us achieve our ambition of a profitable future Net Zero platform. For this team to succeed, we need a Operations Manager to be responsible for Billing, Collections and Client Contract Management.
Location - Flexible due to frequent UK travel, however ideally based somewhere in/around the Midlands.
Key responsibilities :
Responsible for the management of £1billion of capital deployed over the next 5 years through the funding of installation of Smart Meters
Produce accurate and timely rental invoices to external clients, reaching a potential value of c£120m per annum within the next 5 years
Forecasting – using data, produce long term forecasts and manage performance against them, to ensure strong governance over revenue
Collections – through robust governance and risk mitigation, effectively manage debtor portfolio, protecting the capital invested in smart meters
Client management – Build a client management capability for the MAP business, including preparing performance packs for existing clients. Lead and/or support the Operations Director in Business Review meetings across 20+ energy suppliers
Lifecyle management – measure and monitor the end to end performance of an asset, identifying and implementing operation efficiencies to enhance revenue
Reporting – produce weekly and monthly insight packs, highlighting business performance against financial plan
Contract Management - Lead the contract management of new and existing clients, owning the processing of data in accordance with contractual deadlines
Lead a team of analysts to deliver a first class service to existing and potential clients, ensuring service levels are met at all times
Experience/key skills required:
Service: passionate about getting things right, first time, and able to bring some Billing/Collections expertise onboard to help support the MAP growth
Commerciality: Aligned to core vision of new MAP and reiterates the message around the vision and making Centrica more profitable
Strong communicator: Builds strong and sustainable relationships across teams allowing effective collaboration to deliver or quickly resolve issues
Prioritisation: able to seamlessly manage multiple conflicting priorities
Challenge and support: able to positively challenge other stakeholders where appropriate to ensure the best outcome for the MAP is delivered
Able to operate in an autonomous environment
Trust: Open, honest and able to build mutual trust with colleagues
Previous experience within an Operations Leadership role
Expertise in Billing & Collections processes, ideally included Litigation
Experience of meter supply & industry knowledge
Existing manufacturer relationships
