Job Details

We have a great purpose-built nursery that is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join the team. This nursery has been designed to inspire curiosity and imagination, and provide a homely and nurturing environment that enables children to thrive.

It offers extensive outdoor space that overlooks beautifully fields and helps the children learn from hands on experiences – discovering, experimenting, and having fun.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will provide high-quality care and education for young children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental needs are met. Implementing engaging activities, fostering positive relationships, and maintaining a nurturing environment, you will contribute to creating a positive and enriching early childhood experience.

In addition to an excellent salary you can expect subsidised childcare, company events, pension, high street discounts, health & wellbeing programme, training and progression opportunities and much more for a 38 hour week.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong and positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Create a stimulating and safe environment that encourages the children's curiosity and exploration
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, fostering a love for learning and development
  • Provide daily care routines, ensuring the well-being and happiness of each child
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience in a nursery setting, demonstrating a genuine passion for early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to promoting a child-centred and inclusive environment
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture
  • SENCO or Forestry school qualification would be an advantage
