We have a lovely setting seeking a maternity cover Nursery Manager to join and lead their team close to Bedford. This setting is close to train station and has good transport links. They offer the children welcoming rooms and the opportunity to explore and expand their natural curiosity and learn through play.
The nursery has a wonderful team of early years practitioners, with a wealth of experience and knowledge, who are dedicated to working in childcare. They love the great outdoors, and have lots of open spaces for the children to explore.
As Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the nursery, providing the highest standard of compliance, care, and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

Responsibilities:
- Building strong relationships with parents and the surrounding community
- Cultivating stimulating experiences tailored to children's age and stage of development
- Overseeing the maintenance of records and child learning journals
- Fostering a friendly and welcoming environment, and building a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice
- Providing regular training on safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, including Ofsted, EYFS, Child Protection, Health & Safety, and GDPR
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare, preferably with Management and Leadership qualifications
- Previous experience of a management role within a nursery setting
- Good knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Experience of training and developing an early years learning team
