The Role
Reporting to the NPD Manager, you’ll be driving projects from concept to launch, supporting with all aspects of NPD including management of the critical path to ensure the highest levels of product development and performance.
You’ll work closely with Development Chefs to ensure that all NPD projects run smoothly whilst being in line with the critical path as well as customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include recipe management and costings, coordinating product tastings, liaising with suppliers and managing samples whilst carrying out nutritional work to ensure projects are delivered according to technical and quality standards.
We are looking for a bright and motivated NPD Technologist with a food degree and some previous experience of working within a food development role. Experience within a chilled manufacturing environment would be great but happy to consider other product categories where you have gained experience of the NPD process and critical path management.
If you have worked on products for the major retailers, that would be an advantage but not essential. But you must have excellent communication, presentation and project management skills in order to achieve success in this varied and fast paced role.
