PAY RATE: £13.90 PER HOUR
SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days over 7
WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
This job description sets out the main duties of the post at the date when it was completed. Such duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibility entailed.
As a Team Leader you are responsible for a nightshift team ensuring that areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times, maintain Health and Safety standards at all times, ensure equipment is used, cleaned, maintained and stored correctly, deal with any management requests promptly and courteously.
Main Duties
As a cleaning team leader, you will be responsible for leading, monitoring, and supervising a group of employees to achieve goals that contribute to the daily aspects of the business. Team leaders motivate and inspire their team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding between team members, and demonstrates flexibility.
Duties will include instruction, direction and undertaken of day-to-day cleaning tasks to help achieve a specific goal and standards within the building and surrounding areas and completing any other associated tasks requested by management.
Responsibilities:
Undertaking day to day cleaning tasks set out by management
Communicating goals and deadlines to team members
Assisting with appropriate training
Planning workloads and delegating tasks
Ensuring paperwork is completed in a timely manner
Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees
Assisting with the daily operation and any Ad-hoc tasks
Ensure that all team members are familiar with and adhere to the Company’s Policies and Procedures.
Complete HR related tasks for the staff under your control as agreed with the Manager
Investigate accidents or incidents and revise risk assessments where necessary
Controlling of team holidays
Provide sufficient cover and allocate cleaning tasks during periods of staff absence or holidays, monitoring attendance, communicate any staffing issues immediately to your cleaning manager and respond to all requests within a reasonable time frame as required.

- Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work,
- Good communication skills,
- Previous cleaning experience and leadership skills required
- Awareness of importance on Health & Safety Policies & procedures.
- IPAF preferred, but not essential training will be given
- Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Excellent customer service skills
