A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Administrator at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, supported through the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), to work on the Imperial Health Knowledge Bank (IHKB) and BRC BioResource projects.

IHKB is designed to become a rich and comprehensive resource of biosamples and longitudinal clinical data, and to offer our patients an opportunity to participate in clinical research.

The post holder will be required to have excellent communication skills, a confident and flexible attitude with the ability to work autonomously.

Experience in working within the field of research is desirable but not essential, provided the candidates can display a strong passion to work in clinical research.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder would work within the structure of the Imperial Health Knowledge Bank (IHKB) Team under the direct and overall supervision of the Imperial Health Knowledge Bank Manager. The post holder will manage the workload of the team’s data administration.
  • The role of the data administrator is to contribute to the continued delivery of the highest quality through the management of patient data relating to IHKB.
  • The post holder will work within the guidelines of ICH GCP and local SOPs at all times. Other responsibilities will include management of databases used in the IHKB, support the research nurses/practitioners and the Imperial Health Knowledge Bank Manager with recruitment and maintenance of electronic site file.

  • Good Clinical Practice certification

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a science discipline

  • Proven previous experience of working in a hospital or medical research department
  • Experience of data collection, creating and maintaining databases
  • Experience of using electronic data capture systems

  • MS Office suite
  • Proven high level of accuracy
  • Flexible attitude to work
