Music Tutor – Part-time – Permanent – Required for September 2024 

Hours: 3 days per week (21 hours) – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, Term Time + 1 week (39 weeks)
Salary: Grade 7, Scale point 23-25 (£35,718 to £36,708 per annum inclusive. Actual pro-rata salary £18,958 to £19,483 – includes London Weighting and Ealing Supplement)

Horsenden currently has excellent music provision delivered by our in-house music specialist who is moving on at the end of the academic year. We are looking to employ a passionate music specialist to teach music as a PPA lesson (providing release time to class teachers) across the school from Year 1 to Year 6.

The role:

  • *To work constructively as a member of the PPA team and teach music across the school in KS1 and KS2.
  • *To develop our music curriculum ensuring that there is sufficient challenge and progression from Year 1 through to Year 6.
  • *To achieve high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils through the provision of a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
  • *To promote the wellbeing of pupils, treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect.
