Contract Personnel are please to be working with their Ashford (Kent) based client who are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to cover the night shift at their busy facility.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the reactive & preventative repair and maintenance to all onsite plant facilities and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
Areas include: Packing hall production lines, dry & cold stores, and site facilities including the cooling tower & production wastewater. plant.
Other responsibilities:
- Support Engineering Manager to deal proactively with issues.
- Excellent communication on engineering matters to all departments.
- Achieve factory KPI’s and see opportunities for creative problem solving
- Drive costs down wherever possible.
- Make best use of available time and resources
Qualifications and Experience
- 17 / 18th BS 7671 Electrical wiring regulations
- 5 Years Minimum experience in a similar multi skilled role
- Fault finding experience on PLC, s / Scada / Power & Control circuits / Pneumatics / Mechanical drives & conveyor systems
- Working can include being the only engineer on a shift with full responsibility for the site.
- Production wastewater & cooling tower facility checks & repairs.
- Computer literate (Word / Excel etc.
You may be required to carry out additional duties as requested by the line manager.
Hours for this role are 10pm - 6am Sunday to Thursday
Please note: There is a Sunday premium which would bring the salary up to £55k
