Position Summary
The position is ideal for an ambitious design engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Reporting directly into the Senior Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for specifying, designing and implementing mechanical/electromechanical solutions for new products and enhancements to current products, producing quality design models and CAD data for our electronic gaming machines across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
To produce designs that satisfy the requirements, deliverables and constraints laid down in the Project Initiation Document, Requirements Document or as required by Engineering management.
To produce design documentation that accurately conveys the design to other member of the Engineering group, nominated third parties and suppliers, and conforms to current Health and Safety and compliance standards
To keep project documentation up to date and provide time-scale estimates for work.
To provide considered input to the project planning process and risk assessment.
To attend project meetings as required by the Senior Director, Engineering and to participate constructively at these meetings.
To extract and interpret customer (internal and external) requirements.
To record these requirements in a formal requirements document that can be fed back to the customer and maintain the requirements document to reflect changes as they are agreed with the customer
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
3D CAD preferably Pro-Engineer / SolidWorks
Understanding of a wide range of Engineering disciplines
Understanding of design for manufacture and value engineering processes
Hands on approach to workshop prototyping
Experience of design within in the gaming industry is desirable
Experience of Oracle MRP Manufacturing & an understanding of electrical connectivity would be an advantage
