Your newpanyOur client is based at their main site and headquarters in Telford UK, where they design and develop world leading automated precision measurement and testing equipment. Offering solutions for the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, and Packaging industries our client provide both on-line and off-line data using advanced range of sensing and software technologies, enabling customers to control high speed processes, reducing cost and maintaining Quality in demanding production environments. With our clients world class R&D facility they develop solutions using the latest technologies and pioneering techniques, to create bespoke gauging equipment to meet demands.Our client operates from their fourth site in the UK, where their experienced and dedicated team provide design and precision machining services to a variety of industries through-out the UK and internationally.Your new roleUsing established procedures, the mechanical Designer is responsible for new engineering design based on a given technical specification, as well as design modifications of existing productKey Duties and Responsibilities:• Ability to take a general concept and develop it into a finished product• Work to schedule time lines for efficient releases•municate progress on tasks to direct supervisor• Create 3D designs and drawings• Produce working drawings, detail drawings and bills of materials• Work with other members of the design team to produce aplete solution• Knowledge of GD&T• Participate in team design reviews and analysis• Improve existing tooling to enhance performance• Adhere to all ISO procedures pertaining to job responsibilities•ply and follow all procedures within thepany quality management system• Ensures design for manufacturability• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assignedWhat you'll need to succeed• Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent• Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills• Solidworks experience desirable• Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills• Experience of working in a similar role within a design departmentWhat you'll get in returnSalary £40,000 - £45,000Opportunity to work days only Monday – Friday
