Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students in primary or secondary education
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and assistance as required
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement appropriate teaching strategies and resources
- Encourage independent and critical thinking skills among students
- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive and supportive learning community
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Maths education and incorporate them into lesson plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maths or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Maths in primary or secondary education
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and commitment to student success
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- DBS clearance or willingness to undergo necessary checks
