Mathematics Teaching Assistant Role
Location: Cardiff, Wales
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cardiff. Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
- Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support students during class activities, group work, and individual tasks.
- Help maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Individual and Small Group Tutoring:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students needing extra help.
- Assist students in understanding key mathematical concepts and solving problems.
Lesson Preparation:
- Aid in the preparation of lesson materials, worksheets, and resources.
- Help set up and organise classroom activities and instructional aids.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Assist in assessing student progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their understanding and performance.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Encourage student participation and foster a love for mathematics beyond the classroom.
Qualifications:
- A strong background in mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching and learning.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
