An exciting opportunity has come up to work with a national based organisation in a Managing Quantity Surveyor capacity. You will be working within the social housing planned and responsive repairs works programmes and you will be based from home/office and on-site. The role involves leading a small team of commercially focused employees to evaluate information to help understand and present the costs for the designated refurbishment projects.

Skills needed in the Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
Supporting with the forecasting and future projections for the sub region
Managing the controls around contract budgets
Assisting in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, tenders and bids
Preparing and monitoring cash flow forecast for designated projects
Monitoring the contract's progress for any changes that may affect project costs and/ or time scale
Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment to the client
Responsibilities of the Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
You will ideally have experience of managing a team of QS's while also managing your own projects
Applicants will have strong commercial acumen
You will have experience of working as a Managing Quantity Surveyor within the Construction industry
It is essential to have an understanding of Refurbishments and Responsive repairs within a live environment
It will be a distinct advantage if you have experience within Social Housing
You will have good attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills
