Our client is a well established manufacturing company with a global client base situated on the outskirts of Belfast. They are now seeking a Management Accountant with good technical skills and strong attention to detail to join their team.
The successful Management Accountant will carry out accounting work including compilation, consolidation and analysis of group financial data. You will support the company’s senior financial team along with managing and developing more junior members of staff

Responsibilities:
Track progress against budgets within established finance systems and report variances, ensuring compliance with financial laws, requirements and regulations
Collate and analyse data, delivering high quality monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to the business
Responsible for production of key financial documents including Statutory accounts; monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes; monthly management accounts
Manage and participate in the monthly accounting cycle, including assisting with the organisation and coordination of the month end process and associated Board reports
Gather and summarise data for non-standard analyses and reports, improvement projects and programmes
Contribute to the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.
Lead and develop a small finance team towards a culture of continuous improvement
Criteria:
ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within manufacturing / engineering or similar environment
Experience in owning and managing financial accounts
Experience in developing standard operating procedures and financial processes
Experience dealing with external Auditors
Cost Accounting experience is highly desirable
