Job Details

We are seeking two Maintenance Technicians to install, maintain, fault-find, overhaul and improve instrument and electrical plant equipment to ensure our manufacturing processes operate safely and reliably to meet business demands. One will be focused on Electrical systems and the other on the Instrument side.


Key Responsibilities:

Work across a range of electrical equipment, from low voltage plant installations up to and including 11KV motors, transformers, and associated switchgear.

Diagnose and resolve faults in instrument and electrical systems, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS control systems, to maintain continuous operation.

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities on a diverse range of instrumentation and electrical assets.

Contribute to the improvement and optimisation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.


Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Formal Electrical or Instrument Apprenticeship

SVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or Instrument and Control Engineering (or equivalent)

HNC Electrical Engineering or Measurement and Control Engineering (or equivalent)

Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation loop diagrams.

Experience working on a top-tier COMAH site, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical or related manufacturing industry.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Proficient in the use of computer systems, CMMS software (e.g. Maximo), and PLC/DCS programming

Current driving license


Electrical Specific:

Experience of installing, maintaining, and fault-finding on a range of electrical equipment up to and including 11KV motors, transformers, and switchgear

COMPEX 1-4 certification


Instrument Specific:

Experience in calibration, configuration, and maintenance of a wide variety of instrumentation, including analytical equipment, flow meters, level transmitters, and control valves.

Knowledge of instrument loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control system architecture

Experience in fault-finding and troubleshooting instrument and control system issues.


This role is primarily based at our clients Finnart site, but we may also consider candidates for Grangemouth North Area location.
