Your new job will be working for a leading university across their Liverpool campus.
Your new role
The majority of work is reactive so the suitable candidate must have experience with reactive maintenance. There is however some element of planned works involved in the role.
You must be able to use a mobile phone to receive daily jobs from the Resource Planners (you will eventually be upgrading to a PDA).
You will mainly report into the Resource Planners – you will liaise with them to get new jobs and confirm when jobs have beenpleted. Your manager will be there for anyplex issues or advice required.
The work will be across 150 buildings in total ranging from brand new laboratories, offices and grade 2 listed buildings. All buildings are located on campus so would all be walkable from eachother.
Thepany have pool vans so you are able to use them however a lot of the time you will be walking round campus as this is quicker and more efficient unless there is a bigger job which requires more tools and man power etc.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally be from a NHS background as works and equipment are very similar however this is not essential.
Someone from amercial maintenance background would also be considered CBRE and Savills.
Electrical background.
Mechanical background is also desirable so you can change fan belts etc.
Must have experience with 3 phase LV network (Electrical – moremercial not domestic).
No DBS required.
Must be physically able as most jobs will require you to walk to and from as it is easier / quicker and more efficient.
Must have very goodmunication skills as will be going into various offices which may have directors, professors, students etc.
Must be polite, well spoken and able to get on with people.
Familiar with BMS or BEMS – software that turns on and off heating systems.
Full UK driving license and have your own vehicle to get to site when you are ‘On Call’.
Need to be forward thinking and methodical – able to get to the root cause of the problem.

Call out;
1 full week on call out (this will be 1 every 6/7 weeks)
1 hour paid each day for being on call
4 hours paid for each call out
8 hours paid for each call out that is more than 4hours
Jobs will only ever be Respond and Make Safe (so should not be there for long)
