Learning is the greatest gift and this setting does not believe that it needs to stop at 16 in fact it is resolute in its belief that no matter your age or need you have the right to learn, develop and grow. This award winning and nationally recognised specialist day centre offers education for those 19+ with a SEN or complex need. They currently support 40+ learners all the way to 50+ years of age. This setting offers the opportunity to learn new skills, develop current skills, learn life skills, get work experience and even achieve educational goals like GCSE, A Levels, vocational courses and degrees. This setting is currently recruiting for a learning support worker to work 1:1 with their learners. This opportunity is a permanent role, needed on a full time basis to start ASAP (notice periods considered). In this role you can change lives and do so while working in a supportive and friendly environment with the best team possible. This role is needed Monday- Friday 9-5pm and is open all year round.

Your role will include:
Supporting with life skills
Supporting with homework/ study/ educational activities
Promoting independence amongst the people we support
Supporting people we support with Personal care needs
Dealing with complex needs
Liaise with other agencies and families when necessary

Skills required for the role
Excellent communications skills to liaise with other agencies
Kind, nurturing and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
Experience working within the care sector ( desirable)
Eligibility to work in the UK
