Job Title: Learning support assistant

Job Type:  Temporary

Key responsibilities:

To support the child's learning in class.

Ensure a secure environment where the pupils feel safe and able to access their learning.

To enable the child to move safely around the school.

To adapt lessons or activities where necessary.

Monitor and advise teaching staff/parents on the child's ability to undertake expected classroom activities.

To undertake any duties as required by school in relation to the child's overall wellbeing.

To exchange information with parents and staff to ensure a unified approach to the child's support. * Use professional knowledge and skills to facilitate the child's general learning and development throughout the school day.

Set termly objectives in conjunction with school staff.

Qualifications and experience:

Experience working with SEND children in a school environment.

Experience with providing/willingness to provide personal care support to individuals with high needs (e. peg feeding, toileting, changing etc.)

Enhanced DBS on the update service

Right to work in the UK
