Learning Support Assistant

  • A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London.

    This will be a full time, long term Teaching Assistant post. Working hours at the school are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

    Responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant role will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting identified students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
  • Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
  • Leading small group sessions and interventions
  • Attending to students' personal needs when required
  • Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
  • Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
  • The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between £90 to £120 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each candidate.

    Requirements

    Applications are welcome if you are a recent Graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant.

    You are also welcome to apply if you are a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
  • Experience of supporting/working with children from the ages of 11 to 18
