About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PE department, ensuring it delivers an outstanding and engaging curriculum for all students.
- Lead the development and implementation of a PE curriculum that aligns with national standards and fosters a love for physical activity.
- Oversee the management and utilisation of PE facilities to ensure they are well-maintained and optimised for learning.
- Motivate and mentor PE teachers, providing ongoing professional development and growth opportunities.
- Cultivate a strong PE program that extends beyond the classroom, promoting extracurricular activities and fostering a culture of health and well-being within the school community.
You'll be a perfect fit if you:
- Possess a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE) and extensive experience in leading a PE department.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the national curriculum for PE and a commitment to innovative teaching methods.
- Have a proven track record of raising standards in student achievement and participation in PE.
- Are an inspiring leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
